2. Will my insurance pay for the treatment?
Whether an existing insurance policy will cover all or part of the costs incurred must be clarified on the basis of the upcoming treatments. We are happy to support you with our expertise.
3. at what age should you have your teeth checked for the first time?
In the best case scenario, the first visit is associated with positive impressions and does not only take place when the child is in pain. In this way, the child understands that treatment does not have to be bad. The child can build up trust and there is no need for fear to arise later on. We take the time to do this.
For children under the age of 6, there are early detection examinations that serve to identify dental, oral and jaw diseases in good time.
The Swiss Association for Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first dental examination at the age of 1.5 to 2 years. At this age, the first "contact" with the dentist or dental hygienist is made - at this stage, the threat of infant caries can still be averted.
The first proper examination of the teeth should take place at the latest when all the milk teeth have erupted (around the age of three). After that, we ask you to attend prophylaxis appointments with your child every six months.
We will be happy to advise you on making an appointment.
4. How often to check?
The individual prophylaxis program begins from the age of 6. Two visits per year are recommended. At these appointments, the dentist checks oral hygiene and gives advice on how to prevent tooth decay or informs parents and children about possible causes of tooth decay or other oral diseases.
From the age of 18, we recommend an annual check-up. This allows dental damage to be detected and treated at an early stage.
5. My child has a disability - what can you offer us?
Children with disabilities also face special dental challenges. This is why they need our special attention, treatment and support. The Euler Practice has decided to provide targeted support for children with disabilities, their parents and caregivers and works according to the program of ZaZa Care. In addition, Fabienne Schenkera practice assistant with experience in autism and familiar with various forms of non-verbal communication, works in our team to support parents and children.
In order to meet your individual requirements, we recommend a non-binding initial contact by telephone as a first step. We will listen to you and work with you to find out which approach promises the best and most sustainable benefits for your child. If a planned course of action is not successful due to the individual situation, this is not a problem, but rather an opportunity to discuss the situation and needs again together.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, that we can discuss the desired procedure and take the necessary time.
6. Fear of the dentist, what do you offer?
In a joint conversation in a calm, trusting atmosphere, we take the time to find out together what specifically triggers your anxiety or your child's anxiety and offer methods and techniques to eliminate triggers and overcome the anxiety - gently, carefully and patiently.
